Police warn of conmen

0 Comments | Sentinel, The; Stoke-on-Trent (UK), Jan 25, 2008

Residents are being warned to be on their guard against bogus workmen.

Yesterday, three men called at an address in Castlefield Street, Hanley, at 1.15pm, and took the guttering down from outside the property without the owner’s permission. They demanded pounds1,200 for the work, but fled the scene when challenged.

One had a beard and dark hair and was wearing a fleece jacket.

At 1.45pm, three men called at a house in Croston Street, Hanley, claiming to be from the council. They told the elderly female occupant her chimney was going to fall down, and asked for pounds1,200 to put scaffolding up.

After the men left, the woman found significant amount of cash had gone missing. Anyone with information should call 08453 302010.

Many of these singles have been wounded. However, a recent study is revealing that it is the ability to face this pre-marital fear that separates the successfully married from the unhappy and failed marriages.

You can overcome these dating fears if you take these important steps before committing your heart to him/her:

? Become fully knowledgeable on how to make lifetime winning decisions, and

? Work on yourself.

So, what are the fears faced in today?s dating world? More than 300 interviewed Single adults said they feared these possible endings:

a) Fear of opening up your private life to someone else to scrutinize and evaluate, with the likelihood of being rejected by the woman or man you admire most.

b) Fear that you may not find your ideal lifetime lover to share your passion and destiny with.

c) Fear that you could choose an inferior partner who may not reciprocate your passion and devotion to the same degree of delightful care and value.

d) Fear that his/her true image will emerge after the wedding day, and that you may not like what you see then; the hidden impostor, the pretender, and the unpleasant baggage.

e) Fear that your marriage could end up as ?for-worse? instead of ?for-better? and that you may not end up as you are dreaming.

f) Fear of losing your total independence, being answerable to someone else, and adjusting your lifestyle to accommodate his/her needs and wishes.

g) Fear of being in an abusive relationship with an immature and control freak as a wife or husband.

h) Fear of making relationship mistakes and being alone again, like someone you know who even after repeated failure could not keep a spouse for long.

i) Fear of marrying a loser, and the future challenge of having to go back into the dating world to choose again.

j) Lastly but most important, is overcoming the fear to exert confidence and ask all the essential deal breaking questions you need to know, no matter how uncomfortable it feels in the initial dates.

These fears are real, and the best advice from the experienced people is to face it now before time runs out on you.

Discover A Doctor With A %92.3 Success Rate With Cancer by Nathan Scheer
in Other (submitted 2010-04-20)

Hey, guess what? In today’s world we are finding more and more problems with people? Do you know why? Could it because our early detections are not working as well as we planned? Is it our health care system and the 45,000,000+ people with out health insurance or un-adequate insurance?

Maybe it’s it because you and I are sucking down more poison then any other time in history. People find it humorous almost to say, yeah this hamburger isn’t good for me but screw it! Well you and I can that see this type of position of your health, is unhealthy in itself. But what about those who seem to try to stay in good graces with their health and yet they still find themselves getting cancer or other diseases?

Well it’s not as far off as someone who says, the hell with it. The only difference is, they don’t know what’s hurting them. Foods and artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame (or AminoSweet) – Trans fats, bad water & EMFs (Electro Magnetic Field (or Electro Mangentic Chaos) – from microwaved food, cell phones and power lines) are killing people and they don’t even know it!

It’s amazing that what most people today are thinking about health is still just another way to yank a buck from you. Just receiving Mammograms increases your chances of having cancer by %2! Chemotherapy is nothing but a poison – your better off not having it! When it comes down it, it’s the money and control these health organization have over you, some doctors are given bonuses for recommending chemo or turning their backs on people who need help and not telling them the truth about a disease they might have.

In no way do I say doctors are criminals, but perhaps some of them are not quiet consciously aware as of yet of what they do to you and I to continue their practice! Legal drug pushers! But what if I told you, there is a doctor. WHO, knows all of this and has seen over 35,000 cancer patients in his career?

Would you happen to believe that this Doctor has never treated any of these patients with conventional means? Not only that, with a success cure rate of %92.3 would almost seem unbelievable wouldn’t it? Out of 35,000 people that mean only 2695 had lost the battle of cancer while under his care… Meaning that out of the 35,000 – 32305 LIVED and we’re successfully cured from cancer.

Isn’t that just unbelievable? It’s shouldn’t be though, we all have DNA strains in our bodies right now that could grow limbs back, fix any type of illness and genetic issue as well as DNA strains for immortality. This is proven.

Now how hard could it REALLY be to be cured from cancer? Perhaps try balancing the body? Maintain stress levels, be happy and excited about life. If we labeled sun rays as love, isn’t that what a plant reaches for? In the darkest of places plants will find a way to receive this love and be the healthiest they can be.

This is what excitement of life and balancing ones body through cleanse and other means will do for the human body. This doctor with this %92.3 success rate with cancer is Dr. Leonard Coldwell from Germany! He has just written a book called – The Only Answer To Cancer. Which if you get a chance buy and share this knowledge with friends!

So now you know Dr

Gaming industry tax review

0 Comments | Herald, The; Glasgow (UK), Jul 23, 2010

THE impact of scrapping proposed tax relief for the video games industry will be investigated by MPs, it has been announced.

Westminster’s Scottish Affairs Committee aims to examine the sector’s contribution to the economy and what other financial incentives can be offered.

Scotland is seen as a centre for gaming, with established companies concentrated in Dundee and Edinburgh. Hits such as Grand Theft Auto helped establish the country’s credentials in the industry.

Shadow Scottish secretary Jim Murphy said the move was a “huge error”.

“If Scotland’s computer games industry moves abroad it will have a devastating economic impact on Dundee, and poses a real threat to Edinburgh as well,” he said.

The sacrifices I make for [pounds sterling]100,000 a year

0 Comments | Mail on Sunday (London, England), The, April 4, 2010

I agree with Liz Jones about the financial stresses placed on highfliers.

I earn in excess of [pounds sterling]100,000 a year, but people only see the numbers, not how hard I have to work for that money. Nor do they see the education that I had to put myself through, at nights, while working full-time and raising a child.

I am self-employed now. That means no holidays (because I do not get paid if I take a holiday), long working hours and no benefits if I cannot find work. Lucky me. NOT.

Helen, London (Mail Online) While I’m sure executives and bankers sometimes suffer stress, it is surely nothing compared to that of a soldier being shot at in Afghanistan for [pounds sterling]20,000 a year, or a nurse dealing with violent, vomiting drunks, or a fireman risking his life inside a burning building.

Josh, London (Mail Online) The problem with Liz’s article is the assumption that high-fliers’ success is due entirely to their good education and hard work. In fact there are plenty of well educated people and hard workers who earn only fairly average salaries.

Let’s remember, too, it was the highest earners – the bankers, the CEOs, the MPs, the lying financial advisers – who got us into this mess in the first place, so it is only fair they pay an extra contribution

Like most things in life, there is

Like most things in life, there is no library of instruction booklets, among them being one entitled ?How to Get a Divorce.? As much as you may have tried to take all the necessary steps to ensure a smooth and easy divorce, you may still find yourself in the financial aftermath of a divorce in which your ex-spouse refuses to pay alimony.

Here is a small bit of divorce advice: as stressful as the entire situation may be, there is no need to get angry or frustrated. If your legally-binding judgment of divorce or divorce settlement entitles you to alimony or child support, then the law is on your side. Simply contact your attorney and take whatever steps are deemed necessary. Coping with divorce is hard enough. You and your children certainly don?t need any more stress.

Refusing to pay alimony or child support can result in some unpleasant legal actions. If you or your child is not receiving the payments that you are entitled to receive, then your spouse could face one or a number of enforcement devices, such as:

Having money deducted from your spouse?s wages

Submitting a negative report to a credit bureau

Collecting past-due child support from lottery prizes won by your spouse

Intercepting federal and state tax refunds

Seizure of property or bank accounts

Deduction of health insurance premiums

Obtaining a court order requiring a cash deposit toward payment of support

Obtaining a court order that places your spouse on probation

Obtaining a court order sentencing your spouse to serve jail time

In some states, you may pursue spousal and child support through an agency.

In the event that a parent defaults on a court-ordered payment, enforcement devices will be set into motion immediately.

Nowadays, every type of business needs to manage its movements and record every action using computer software. Business software is designed to help with the administration and maintenance of a business. Of course, small businesses are no exception to the rule.

Small businesses and corporations can use general purpose software, a custom implementation that meets their specific needs, or a hybrid that combines both elements. The choice of which approach to use depends on the type of business as well as the size of the economic budget that is going to be spent on organization via computer software.

One of the simplest ways for a business to start operating using computer software would be to use the free Open Office suite of applications, which is similar to MS Office. The difference is that Open Office is free while MS Office (Microsoft Office) costs a considerable amount of money for a small business.

Except for the two alternatives just described, a business can choose to hire a developer to “craft” software that meets the corporation’s very specific needs.

My self-worth isn?t dependent on others?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:42 pm

My self-worth isn?t dependent on others? opinions of me or on my mastery of anything. And it doesn?t matter if people think there?s something wrong with me. It might be nice, but I don?t need their approval!

See how it works? Let?s try a few more reframes. To get rid of those nonsensical ideas involving your having to like and get along with your fax machine, or the terribleness of losing your self-respect if you can?t program your television?s remote control:

1. First, you identify your crazy-makers, such as:

? I must enjoy working with gadgets.

? I must keep up with, purchase, and master the latest version of everything?computer processors, software, wireless contraptions, universal remotes, etc.

? I must always be 100% in control of the technology in my life.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:18 pm

With the advent of sites that are giving information on jobs, there are fewer adverts in the print media than ever.

The promising words and descriptions force many young job applicants to seriously consider and aspire to them. After making a few attempts at reaching the management or any of their representatives over phone, the applicants try not to lose a positive frame of mind.

Writing resumes and letters according to a formula works wonders when done well. If there is a need for writing such winning resumes or detailed letters for others, then some well-qualified young people can find good work in their neighborhoods. Similarly, people who are into a professional course may look around the marketplace to get an idea as to how to start their own business.

Some job descriptions are evolving into an obsolete category however, as many young people are acquiring a number of skills before jumping into the job arena. Having multi-skills ensures better placements to the young, thus leaving out some who are pursuing a single line of subject as their career.
